SNOW LEOPARD TREK

India - Snow Leopard Adventure

  • Track the elusive snow leopard on foot
  • Join a snow leopard expert and skilled local trackers
  • Enjoy the staggering scenery of Ladakh
  • Help raise funds to support snow leopard conservation
Our unique snow leopard adventure will concentrate on the harsh but indescribably beautiful mountains in the Hemis National Park, Ladakh. However inaccessible the snow leopard’s habitat may appear at first glance, the predator is tied to its prey. In searching for this mysterious animal you will be exploring its environment and all that live in it in some detail. Not only will you encounter diverse flora and fauna but you will also meet the amazingly hardy mountain people and, by visiting some of their monasteries and villages, understand a little of the Buddhism that they practice.

“With trembling hands, a sweating brow and gasping lungs of a summiting everest climber I clutched at the spotting scope to have my first view of the ghost of the Himalaya, the elusive snow leopard. With only 5 hours in to the trek this must be a record.  ”
