BOTSWANA ELEPHANT, LEOPARD + WILD DOG STUDY TOUR

Botswana Elephant, Leopard & Wild Dog Study Safari & Tour

  • Exclusive small group safari with wildlife experts
  • Go backstage on wildlife projects and study animal behaviour
  • The relaxed pace of this safari is excellent for photography
  • Helps fund conservation projects in the Limpopo region
Botswana is famous for having some of the largest remaining herds of elephant - its sparsely populated landscapes make it an ideal habitat for studying these intelligent creatures. Leopard and wild dog specialists are also undertaking vital research here, setting up long-term ecological programmes monitoring these elusive predators.

Discovery Initiatives is proud to be working in collaboration with these exciting projects and as a result we can now offer you a unique opportunity to go backstage on wildlife research, learning study techniques, tracking elephants, leopard and wild dog and understanding their remarkable behavioural patterns during this fascinating wilderness safari in Botswana.

Please read Stanley Johnson's exciting account of the trip in the recent Saturday Times.

One of our regular travellers, Babette De Jonge was lucky enough to have some amazing sightings on a recent trip. Please read her detailed, first hand account of the Elephant, Leopard & Wild Dog Study Tour.

“What we most appreciated about the trip was an opportunity to go up a level from the "ordinary" safari; to learn about research projects and increase our knowledge of the wonderful wildlife in the places we visited. ”
