Tom Peschak
Thomas Peschak is a marine biologist, award winning underwater photographer and author with thousands of dives in Africa’s wild seas under his belt. In addition to research on marine reserves, illegal fishing and great white sharks, he has written and photographed hundreds of articles for prestigious publications such as BBC Wildlife, Africa Geographic and GEO. He is also the author and photographer of two highly acclaimed books Currents of Contrast: Life in Southern Africa’s Two Oceans and South Africa’s Great White Shark.
As a photojournalist for WWF and the Save our Seas Foundation, he documents the fate of the world’s oceans to raise awareness for conservation. Tom and his team have an extensive support group ranging from scientists to a network of coastal informers, such as shore and boat anglers, which ensures that no event is missed.
