Jose Calvo Samayoa "Indio" has worked as a professional naturalist & general guide since 1987, leading natural history and bird watching tours into every part of Costa Rica and many other areas of Central America. He is an all-round naturalist with interests in rainforest ecology, ornithology, nature digital photography, climate, and geology. He has also actively participated in the preservation and protection of the Scarlet Macaws of Costa Rica.
