A percentage of your money helps fund the Endangered Wildlife Trust in South Africa
A hands-on adventure learning some of the skills required to become a Game Ranger including tracking, animal identification, rehabilitation and survival skills.
There are a host of ways of seeing wildlife but none can match that of experiencing first-hand the wondrous laws of nature in the wild. In a wilderness area adjacent to one of the world’s oldest wildlife reserves, the Kruger National Park, you can do just that by going out into the bush for eight days with a professional instructor and learning about what it takes to become a professional wildlife ranger.
Our Game Ranger course is aimed at anyone who has an interest in wildlife, and wants an intensive, fun and hands-on adventure, which involves understanding, experiencing and practising all aspects of wildlife guiding and conservation.
The course includes animal identification, ecology, tracking, animal anatomy and handling, one night camping under the stars, animal rehabilitation and diseases, conservation management, the handling of firearms and shooting and survival skills. (This is though not a hunting course!) You learn an extraordinary amount about the bush that can never be covered on a conventional safari holiday. The chance to test your newly learned skills greatly enhances your appreciation and enjoyment of the bush and will stimulate a passion for nature few wildlife experiences can match.
The safari course is based from a couple of comfortable private tented camps with en suite facilities and delicious food, and journeys within some of Africa’s most fabulous wilderness areas. Absolutely no experience is necessary just an interest and a love of the wild.
As part of the course, a financial contribution is made to the Endangered Wildlife Trust of South Africa.
