Best times to take a safari in Kenya
There are two rainy seasons. The short rains are in November and the long rains start at the end of March and go through to the end of May and it’s not a good time to travel at this time. August and October are just about the best times, but to see the wildebeest migration in the Maasai Mara you will want to come around the end of July through to September. Good also from December, over Christmas to the middle of March.
Visas and health
UK, European and American passport holders need a visa to enter Kenya. Passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the date of the end of your visit. We recommend the following inoculations: typhoid, tetanus and hepatitis A. Malaria is endemic in Kenya, therefore expert advice is essential. We recommend that you consult a medical practitioner.
