Being blessed with some of the highest densities of lowland gorillas and forest elephants in Africa, but hindered by lack of infrastructure and resources, the Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic are in a precarious postition. Whilst wildlife viewing may not be something you would associate with the area, the parks found here are both incredibly wild and absolutely stunning. Lowland gorillas, chimpanzees, forest elephants, Ba'Aka tribes, hundreds of bird species and thousands of plant species, all co-exist in a living greenhouse amongst the most prehistoric of settings.
