  • Unique 14 day expeditionary cruise covering 1900 miles combining Spitsbergen, East Greenland and Iceland.

  • Spitsbergen is arguably the best place in the whole Arctic to see polar bears, while Greenland offers vast icebergs and the Northern Lights

  • Kayaking as part of this active expedition

An extraordinary journey from Spitsbergen, to Iceland via East Greenland by by ice strengthened ship covering some 1900 miles through some of The Arctic’s richest and most dramatic parts.

Accompanied throughout by your highly experienced expeditionary staff, your days will be filled by daily landings and zodiac based exploration, while those during days of sea travel by lectures.

Curiously, despite being easier to access from Europe, there are fewer annual visitors currently to the High Arctic than to Antarctica, and with only two of these expeditions each season, making this is a rare chance indeed.

As well as the opportunity for excellent wildlife sightings, Spitsbergen is an excellent all round introduction to The Arctic, with wide sweeping tundra landscapes best explored on foot. Greenland offers contrast, with more dramatic scenery on a much greater scale, with the added attractions of vast armadas of icebergs and a chance to see the magical Northern Lights in exchange for less prolific wildlife.

Those who can spare the time should consider extending their stay on disembarkation in Iceland to explore, a stunning island offering plenty to do and a guaranteed warm reception to the locals.

Absolutely fantastic trip. Our highlight was seeing Polar bears with cubs crossing sea ice.
