  • Small group trip for intimate experience

Picture yourself snorkelling with a family of Narwhals or imagine sharing an ice floe with a Polar Bear! Join an authentic 15 day Arctic nature expedition.

This expedition is for the modern day explorer, going way beyond the conventional cruise itineraries with authentic Arctic exploration and nature watching. This Arctic adventure brings you into direct contact with nature’s extremes, whether you’d rather admire the view from the top of a bird cliff you’ve just climbed, or encounter a two-ton Walrus on its home turf. An intimate encounter with one of nature’s last unspoiled frontiers, the Hudson Bay region.

Planned to run at the nicest periods of arctic weather with near endless day light and temperatures ranging from zero into the mid teens (Celsius) during the summer times make this the most comfortable time to visit the region in relative comfort. Our group of 6 to 8 participants will be housed both in classic Arctic tented camps and simple local hotel accommodations in three small communities around Hudson Bay for a total of 15 days.

This expeditions travels out to the where the solid arctic ice ends and the open ocean begins. Here whales tend to congregate around the floe edge as the ice blocks their migratory routes and polar bears also patrol the edge. There is a good chance to spot Narwhals and Beluga at the floe edges of Hudson Bay and if you are lucky a Bowhead whale in a blow hole. You will go out by boat into the pack ice in search of large groups of walrus.

If you would like to enjoy a genuine exploration of the Arctic, and are happy to be patient, flexible and maintain a sense of humour, in accordance with the untamed Arctic and the animals that inhabit it, then this will be the trip of a lifetime for you.
