Calm inland waters enable these small boat to steer you to see concentrations of whales in their summer feeding grounds and magnificent Grizzly and Brown bears catching fish, for 8,9 or 14 day cruises.

We have teamed up with the best small cruise boats off the Alaskan and British Columbia coast to produce an Alaska cruise holiday offering magnificent beauty and fantastic marine life. Under the captaincy of a world recognised naturalist, take in the best whaling sites, stop at the most interesting islands, inlets and glaciers, look for wild bears and of course find the great whale populations of this area.

There are a range of cruises to Alaska for you to chose from that each focus on a particular part of this coast, and depart from and return to different harbours including Juneau, Sitka and Prince Rupert. The itineraries are deliberately very flexible, unplanned and unpredictable to exploit the regions and potential viewing opportunities. Based on board one of 4 cruisers, which is licensed to carry only 12 to 26 passengers on board, allows for a highly personal venture and access to areas off limits to bigger boats. These inland waters remain very calm, protected from the sea by the islands allowing you almost unlimited, relaxed and comfortable access to this natural world.

Alaskan waters boast two species of baleen whales, the Humpback and Minke whales, and also the Orca, a toothed whale. Southeast Alaska is the summer feeding grounds to the largest concentration of Humpback whales in the North Pacific, ensuring a good view of whale feeding habits, including lunge and bubble net feeding if you are lucky. It’s very common during the summer to see more than a hundred individuals on any given day. Depending on which itinerary you choose you could also enjoy the marine company of sea otters, sea lions, dolphins, and seabirds. On land you can see Grizzly and Brown bears in the wild, even wolves and moose, sea eagles and bald eagles. In addition these Alaska holiday cruises take you to see old First Nation villages with their totem poles, hot springs, or walking trails.
