Zanzibar Trips
The evocative Spice Island of Zanzibar is a romantic and eclectic concoction of influences from colourful cultures, exotic foods and some of the finest turquoise beaches and coral reefs in East Africa.
Old Stone Town itself contains distinctive Swahili Arab architecture, narrow winding alleys and jostling bazaars. The island is also blessed with banana and clove plantations, forests of mangroves and Mkwamba shrubs which still harbour an endangered species of red colobus monkey. The rich waters along the coast are also teeming with abundant sea life for snorkelling and diving, comfortably enjoyed from lovely boutique resorts, lodges and hotels.
The best months to visit are from July to March each year.
