Peru Trips
Peru has variety of climates unparalleled in the world. It has the world’s highest navigable lake, Titicaca, the greatest river, the Amazon, the park with the greatest biodiversity, Manu, and the deepest canyon in the world, Colca. This ‘megadiversity’ contains more than 20% of the known plant and animal species in the world.
Furthermore it has an astonishing cultural and archaeological heritage, from Machu Picchu to the Nazca, lines from the ruins of Inca and pre-Inca civilizations to the cities of Cuzco and Arequipa – once the centre of the Spanish empire in South America.
High season for trekking in Peru is between July and September, with November to April, being wetter but less touristy. For the jungle the ‘dry’ season is April to October.
