DAMARALAND CAMP
Damaraland Camp
Camp
Found in the heart of the red basalt and sandstone-coloured desert, lies Damaraland, in the community-run Torra conservancy. The comfortable walk-in tents are solar powered at night and the views all around are spectacular, especially when you venture down the valley with the Huab river in the distance, with the outline of green Ana trees. Here, the early morning mists generated by the meeting of the icy Atlantic Ocean and the warm desert air of the Skeleton Coast drift inland to provide precious moisture to the flora and fauna.
