CHITABE CAMP
Chitabe Camp
Camp
Chitabe is a luxurious, tented camp built on one of the most beautiful islands in the Okavango Delta, in a private area that is bordered on three sides by the Moremi Game Reserve. The eight spacious en-suite East African style tents are built on elevated wooden decks and the thatched dining area, lounge and bar are also raised on decks overlooking the surrounding flood plains. A pool allows guests to cool off from the heat of the day.
Wildlife
Spectacular birds, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.
Activities
Nature walks and game drives. There are also two elevated hides located in the reserve, where guests can experience a ‘sleep-out’ under the stars in full comfort and safety.
Eco-credentials
Dave and Helene Hamman, owners of Chitabe and Chitabe Trails, have dedicated many years to photographing the African wild dog. Chitabe Camp works closely with the researchers of the Botswana Wild Dog Research Project and contributes towards the funding of this long-running conservation project.
