This attractively low key eco-lodge, with 8 self contained rooms, all with private en-suite facilities, sits at the foot of the Bwindi escarpment, allowing for some beautiful photography, particularly early morning as the mist rises from the mountains. All the rooms have a small verandah areas at the front, whilst the restaurant and bar are on raised decks, taking advantage of the great views and offers one of the warmest welcomes in the area. The free massages are also a welcome relief after the rigours of trekking! Wildlife
Gorillas, excellent birding, butterflies (over 200 species), 11 other species of primate including chimpanzees (rarely seen), bushbuck, duiker – and a small herd of forest elephants, but you’d be lucky to see them!
