BORANA WILDLIFE RANCH, LAIKEPIA
Borana Wildlife Ranch, Laikepia
Borana ranch overlooks the jagged peaks of Mount Kenya. The 65000 acre wildlife ranch borders Lewa Conservancy and ‘old timer’ owners Michael and Nicky Dyer oversee the stylish lodge and management of the conservancy, combining wildlife with cattle ranching. Borana has six large thatched cottages, and one private two bed cottage, with huge windows, a fireplace, private veranda and sumptuous bathrooms. The sitting, bar and dining rooms are tastefully decorated in comfortable up-country style serving fine cuisine around a huge table, and the lunch veranda overlooks a swimming pool.
